What should I expect at a Reiki treatment at Ora Holistic Wellbeing?
The practice room has a beautiful energy, with soft music playing, candles and incense burning to create a light atmosphere before treatment begins.
The client will have a short consultation where any questions can be answered.
The treatment takes place fully clothed (shoes, socks and glasses are asked to be removed).
The client will lie on the comfortable Reiki couch & covered with a warm blanket.
The treatment lasts for approximately 45 minutes. During this time, Tanya will place her hands either above or on each energy centre (chakra point) along the clients body. Starting at the crown of the head and finishing at the feet, Tanya can spend 3 to 5 minute per energy centre (time varies depending on individual needs).
During the treatment the client may feel: heat from Tanya’s hands, vibrations, feel different emotions, see colour in the minds eye, see visions in the minds eye, feel floaty or even fall asleep.
Tanya will feel heat or coldness on the chakra points, or dense energy. Tanya will pick up feelings and visions psychically and will be able to interpret these to the client during the feedback session after treatment (last approx. 10 minutes).
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive, individual treatment that comes from the clients highest good. If you are interested in booking an appointment or would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact Tanya.
What is Reiki?
Put simply, Reiki is a natural healing treatment. Every living thing in the universe has life force vibrating through and around it.
A Reiki Practitioner can channel Reiki energy from their hands and into the clients auric field. The human body has seven main energy centres (chakra’s) from the crown on the head down to the feet at the base. These chakra’s store massive amounts of energy from the individual, energy created physically or mentally and emotionally (hence why you feel deep emotions in the gut “gut instinct” – your solor plexus holds so much energy).
The Reiki Practitioner can detect any blockages at the chakra points, caused from physical ailments or emotional or mental stresses. The Practitioner will work to clear the blockages which results in eleaviating pain, lifting ones mood and providing a sense of wellbeing for the client.
When the chakra’s are balanced & the auric field cleared of any negative energy, we are at our optimum capacity to self-heal on all levels – emotionally, spiritually, mentally & physically.
Where does the Reiki energy come from?
An individual who has been attuned to Reiki can channel the Reiki energy. A Reiki Practitioner would have been attuned by a Reiki Master, who in turn would have been attuned from a lineage that desended from Dr Usui.
Who is Dr Usui?
Dr Usui was a Japanese Buddhist Monk born in 1865. On several occasions he took a form of meditation lasting 21 days. During one such meditation, on Mount Kurama, Dr Usui received his Devine inspiration for his system of healing – Reiki.
Dr Usui found that the healing techniques contained within his spiritul system worked well on various ailments. In April 1922 he opened his first school/clinic in Harajuku Tokyo.
Teachers, Masters, Practitioners and attuned individuals across the world have been practising Reiki Natural Healing ever since.
